It is difficult to keep track of Mark Nelson’s zine, due to the multiple titles changes and the fact that he embraced a different numbering system after issue 39. That combined with the fact that Mark produced many interim games-only issues to players, accounts for what appears to be gaps in the record.

As Mark says: “I was in the habit of changing the name of my primary zine whilst keeping the numbering running over. At some point I changed the name from TYG to “The Mouth of Sauron”. Issue 10 was the first to be called TYG. Issue 1 was called Voom Vat, issue 9 was called “The Red Revolution” and I think issues 2-8 went under the name Weird. One of those issues was a team-up with Alex Bardy’s Eh? which we called Weird-Eh.”

Mark promises to provide all missing details after he moves house in 2024, when his box of zines should reappear.
