1) The normal rules of Standard Diplomacy apply except where modified below.

2) Each country nominates, at the start of the game, any one of his units to be a double strength unit.  This unit costs the normal one centre to maintain.  It does not have a double strength retreat, but is treated as double strength in all other respects.  Once lost, no other unit of such strength may be build by the player in compensation.
